Book art spanning the years 2008 – 2012. New work gets blogged about as it happens.
Synthesis: Collaborative Art
Within this work I discover the unity of bone and book in an exploration of paper, language and the means by which we bind these things together. Bones, leaves, shells, paper, sinew and materials familiar to binders inform most of the pieces shown here. In these pieces I join forces with poets whose words lend themselves perfectly to reconstruction as visual art.
Magick 4 Terri: The Foxes
These pieces were created especially for Magick 4 Terri, a fundraising auction to benefit editor, artist, and writer Terri Windling. Fox bones serve as spines, sinew as thread. Other natural ephemera decorates the wooden surface as the poems dictate. Each one measures five inches high by seven inches wide.
